The Artis family has been in
retail furniture and the interior design business in the Des Moines and Iowa
community over the past 81 years with the original Artis Furniture Company that
closed August 1st, 2009. CJ Artis opened the Artis Furniture Company store in 1928. CJ's son Paul, wife Marjorie, and their sons Bill and Greg operated the store together for decades. |

Due to retiring
family members, a new generation of Artis' have continued the tradition of
retailing furniture and home interiors to the community with the opening of
Artis Home Gallerie. The success of the 81 year old Artis Furniture Company is due to the very long list of dedicated designers and loyal staff that have been employed over the past 81 years at Artis Furniture Company. |
